A New Adapid Genus from the Miocene of Lufeng

چکیده

The text* describes a prosimian primate recovered from the Sivapithecus fossil locality of Lufeng, Yunnan Province. The taxon is assigned as the adapid Sinoadapis carnosus gen. et sp. nov. To date, this is the latest record of the family known and is significant toward understanding the evolutionary history of the Adapidae in addition to the habitat of Sivapithecus.
